Becoming a Teacher – Courses
Helen Doron teacher training courses, offered in various locations throughout the world, prepare you for your new career. The basic course instructs you in:
- the ideology of Helen Doron Early English. We discuss the mother tongue methodology, the theories and background of the method;
- the practical experience with the Helen Doron learning kits. This comprises the bulk of the training. Each teacher trainee demonstrates her ability and ideas as she learns and practices teaching with the material, step by step;.
- pedagogic knowledge with rich and invigorating insights;
- how to successfully start and run a business in this field, i.e. marketing, administrative and organizational training. (Please note that in the case of teachers working uniquely through Learning Centres, this part of the training is not given).
Qualified Helen Doron teacher trainers teach all pedagogic aspects of the course; local Helen Doron franchisees teach the marketing and organizational aspects.
At the end of the course, you have everything you need to begin teaching – the learning kits, all the detailed lesson plans and teaching materials, including flashcards and colour cards as well as detailed teacher manuals. You, or your Learning Centre, also receive a substantial amount of personalized posters and brochures. With your Helen Doron Early English diploma in hand, you're ready to begin teaching.
